Walls of Sorrow

You’re hiding behind walls of sorrow
Looked away from the world
Don’t know why you’ve thrown the key away

Hoping to be found behind your fake smiles and laughs
Wondering when they’re going to notice the real you
Go on and pretend like nothing ever happened and it’ll all disappear

Trying to find a way around the walls of sorrow
The world seems to love to torment you

Why don’t you show them the real you
The one nobody wants to meet &
Tell them what you’ve been holding back for so long

Maybe they’ll help you over the walls of sorrow
Set your soul free, love you like there’s no tomorrow,
Or tear your world apart

Show you everything you were hiding from & build the walls higher
Try & tell them why you do what you do
Hope they’ll help find the key to your heart & soul

Plea with them to help tear down the walls of sorrow
Cry for them to care for just one moment & then for one moment
The walls of sorrow will shatter just for that moment
